YES WE CAN
Related to country: United States

Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

the world can indeed overgrow the overrating of the word globalization,
HE said, and i quote, "there is nothing false about hope".
to all the good mannered and loving citizens of the world, i want you all to know that we can all change our world. that is what this is all about. Change is coming and it is soon.
Let us now give change a chance and allow every good thing to follow and let us learn how positive thinking, thoughts and ideas with good words work.
The whole world thought positively of President Obama, from east to west, and north to south.
He said it, that the victory belongs to "YOU", its your love and thoughts that got him to the white house to bring change.
Let us begin to live positive lives, positive thoughts, attitudes, and ways.
GOD BLESS AMERICA.
GOD BLESS OUR WORLD.

we are not fortunate but permitted ... it is still happy new year

the year has come and about to end, when it all began, there were so many expectations, and so many were gained and a lot of hopes dashed. There were places that knew no peace, others did not know what it was like to sleep in the night peacefully and in comfort. Some have forgotten what good food tastes like. And a bunch of others had all that life had to offer. We must recognise that every begining has an end, and we are men full of imperfections, but always we really hold on to hope. But then that is life, it changes, but i want to urge all that it is not the end, let us go on, let us be joyous and move into the new year with joy and happiness, you see, HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW.
Let us not think bad about the year that is about gone, or people who make our lives difficult. But we must not forget to pray for those who have been victims of any misfortune, either large scale or a minor problem, it can happen to any of us, they are not unfortunate, but we have to strenghten them, aid them and help them carry on.
"There is some good in this world and it is worht fighting for"

happy new year in advance.

Going Nuclear

This is an issue that has been bothering me for some time now, if not always, and i thought that if i did not voice it out, i will be quick to getting hair loss.
Not from old age, but direct pulling of my hair.
In the world today, there is a class of countries that have the technology and are making full use of the nuclear technology. And there also exist a class of other countries, who for obvious reasons can not wait to upgrade to the nuclear technology.
I don't know why, if they think that it is like a kid going for a walk with her mum in the park and always with a cup of icecream in hand. Well, no i don't think so.
Before the Americans laid their hands on the technology, the Germans where in a race against their success or their failure in their world domination plot.
But all that has changed, we have the super powers, led by The United states of America, who are in direct control of the technology. But that is not where my grieviances lies, but in the short time that has passed, the world has been watching with little interest, while a few other countries have gained access and are now in control of the technology, while there are those who will stop at nothing until they can boast of the nuclear technology.
Why? I think they want to be among the countries that can say and do anything they want to do.
But should that be allowed to happen. I think the answer should be no, but if there are people who think otherwise, please give us reasons, why you think otherwise.
I also like to ask why the united nations, is being soft on enforcing its directives from the international atomic energy agency. They have the security council, and there have been numerous treaties signed. What is wrong.
Furthermore, i like to add that the european countries, but for Britain, Italy, and a few others, who for some reason are seeing some truth in what the United states of America is saying, about North korea, Iran, and the unpopular nuclear technology secrets, which was leaked by one of the countries in the asia region to some countries including the sales of nuclear materials from africa.
I wonder, if these people that are involved in such acts, what do think of, is it the benefits they receive, or is there joy in it. I think they should all have rational explanations to these dishonourable acts.
Also, i think there is a serious threat posed to world peace and stability, especially in the parts of the world that have been having conflicts from time to time, and series of political tension. Thank HEAVENS that India and Pakistan, both have human feelings, i wonder what would have happened on the contrary.
Please every country must not be a nuclear power. We can all still leave happily without it, some say they want to generate electricity, for research, and many reasons they like to use and justify their cause. The fact is that, when something is not RIGHT, IT IS NOT RIGHT AT ALL.
Also another task that we also have to take notes of, is the race for large nuclear stocks by the already powerful countries, another question, WHY?
What ever the reason be, i don't know.
Is it that we can not all think of ways to make our enviroments better inhabitable and try to make the world interesting and life worth leaving for the many who are suffering in various circumstances. Yet others are in race for their destruction. These very countries don't have very good records of human rights, and they are the countries that their leaders have a passion for the "RULE FOR LIFE SYNDROME", their economise are not so stable, and they have other interest in their hearts.
Note also that the risk invloved in such a technology, are numerous and destructive, in a world full of hate and a bunch of disillusioned individuals who boast and derive joy in senseless destruction of HUMAN LIFE and causing national sorrows and economic problems. Do we not think that in the case of security weakness in the nuclear sites, who knows what will happen. And those who will not mind to invlove in the sale of these arsenal for the money and don't bother as to who the final consumers will be.
Let us try to think in a positive direction, and see good reason in the case that the United states of America have against these countries, or should i say individuals, who will stop at nothing until they achieve their questionable goals. I really think there is nothing personal, just that they are brave to come out and say, this is not right.
I think europe, is more interested in their economic salvation, and advancement, a dream of surpassing that of the United states, and think less of the security of these their economies if they should finally reach their zenith.
And the united states with the help of a few european countries, who also think that something has to be done.
It is a pity that some of the countries are just taking the matter lightly, while some for obvious reason seem to have little or no interest.
I think the united nations have an ernomous task to do, and the negotiations need more support.
Every country should not have nuclear facilities to be recognized in the world, is not shameful to note that we in africa, seem to know all the countries in the world and there locations, but these others and their citizens find it hard to recognize the black man, let alone have knowledge on the locations of the countries within. Yet we are not having nuclear technology.
Let us thank ALMIGHTY LORD, for the end of another year, that was full of it's joy and sorrows, and ask HIM for a new year of JOY. And that the many lives lost through natural disasters and man made disasters, rest in peace, the latter we also ask HIM that we live to witness no more.
GOD BLESS

"Liberty stands still"

The african struggle for indipendence and survival is marred by so many obstacles which is constantly leaving behind terrible situations in the continent. From high level corruption, goverment incompetence, social and civic unrest, human rights violation, civil wars, disunity within countries, and many more.
But who is to blame, who is to be held responsible.
The one question is, "Africans are we truly independent" Independent to handle our affairs, to make the rules, and face the challenges, why do we always run to the developed countries when we have problems that are created by us, and we can credibly solve. We compromise our situations, and we still have little or nothing to gain.
In the continent we face a race against poverty and corruption, while the people are having difficult times, and trying to make ends meet, our goverments embark on unpopular projects for reasons best known to them, the middle class in certain african societies seem to have disappered leaving only the rich and the poor, then they go all over calling for investors to come down, but do we think that when these investors come they have the communities at heart, i think it is a game of come, grab as much as you can, then you go. I am not trying to blame the business minded men and women, but the various african goverments, whom are so lost in there duties that they are not even able to tell that 1+1=2 not 1+1=11. They can not even make laws to protect the market and the community, let alone the enviroment. If they do, they are so helpless in enforcing them. In the international scene, we are faced with the term "diplomacy" where we are sometimes left without choice but to accept the rules set by our developed (colonial masters) countries.
Are we helpless, what can the youths do?
Our goverments seem to enjoy support from these our very developed brother, who know and expect our leaders to deliver to them the things that are in their interest.
I think there is still hope, for our true independence.
I am convinced that Africans have to unite and love one another, and try to thrash out our problems, and we should learn to be a moving force in the world, not mere observers and yet we all belong to the international community, one world.
